# Control Roam

> The Management Layer for Roam Virtual Offices. Roam is the virtual office. Control Roam is the management layer on top of it: the analytics, data and reporting layer your office has never had.

Everything that happens in a Roam virtual office, every meeting, recording, transcript, message and hour, becomes something you can search, ask questions of, and report on. Control Roam reads from Roam's API and never writes back into your office.

It is deliberately not a second Roam. Nothing here restates a feature Roam already ships. Control Roam is the system of record and the reporting layer around it: cross-meeting search, utilization and occupancy trends, timesheets derived from the audit log, scheduled reporting, retention and export.

- **Sync**: Control Roam pulls from Roam's API on a schedule. Sync Health shows what Roam last handed over and whether it landed.
- **Ask**: search across the entire history, or ask the Assistant in plain language and get an answer with the source records attached.
- **Report**: schedule the reporting, set the thresholds worth an alert, export whatever an auditor asks for.
